Marvin Sizemore was born on 26 July 1922 in Maniton, Kentucky. Marvin Sizemore enlisted in the Army on 21 May 1946 from Indianapolis, Indiana. Private Sizemore attended training at Fort Benning, Georgia to become an infnatryman. PFC Sizemore was assigned to the 18th Armored Infantry Battalion, 1st Infantry Division (The Big Red One) during WWII. He participated in battles in Tunisia, Sicily, Normandy, Northern France, the Rhineland and Central Europe. He was awarded the Bronze Star for valor while serving in the 1st Infantry Division in 1945. PFC Sizemore returned to the USA on 16 September 1945 and left the service, moving to Huntsville, Alabama in 1950. Marvin Sizemore died on 3 February 2008.
